our holy grail skin tools that take your skin to the next level

what’s in our facial rooms, why we use it, and how to make it part of your own ritual:

Our approach to skin has always been rooted in results. Clean products, our amazing skin healer hands, and the right tools to take everything further. These are the tools we use every day in our facials. The ones we trust to deliver real results, and the ones you can use at home to extend that post-facial glow.

let’s break them down:

gua sha

the ritual we come back to again and again.

Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Gua Sha is all about restoring flow—of lymph, blood, energy, and even breath. In our facials, we use it to depuff, sculpt, and release tension (it’s especially good post-extractions or during hormonal flare-ups). You’ll often see our Skin Healers follow a full drainage protocol to reset the face, reduce inflammation, and help oxygen reach the skin more efficiently.

At home, just a few minutes a day can release stagnation, help tone, and help calm your nervous system. Pair it with a facial oil and trust your hands. We created our own Sana Stainless Steel Gua Sha because we couldn’t find one that felt quite right. Ours is cool to the touch, ergonomic in shape, and glides effortlessly. No dragging here.

If you want to take it up a notch, some of our favorite reads like Vogue’s deep dive on Gua Sha remind us that it’s not just about sculpting. It's doing it with intention... maybe first thing in the morning to reduce puffiness, or when you've come home late at night and want to show yourself some love. Depuff it all away, baby.

microcurrent

Low-key electric. High-key lifting.

The closest thing to Pilates for your face. Microcurrent uses low-level electrical currents to tone facial muscles, support collagen, and give an instant lift—especially around the jaw and eyes. No pain, no downtime, just sculpted, snatched energy.

We use it to finish off our SuperGlow facial especially around the jawline and cheekbones. It’s subtle, but the results are immediate. At home, it’s your maintenance tool. Use it consistently and you’ll start to notice your face looks… supported. Like it's holding itself a little higher.

Sana tip: Always pair with a conductive gel or serum to help the current penetrate.

the skinny confidential: mint roller

used in our Supermama facial, but loved by all muses.

Why? Because there’s nothing like that icy-cool touch on skin that feels hot, inflamed, or just overstimulated. Whether it’s post-extractions, after a peel, or during a breakout, this tool helps calm it all down.

It also feels really good. Keep it in the fridge for extra chill, and roll it across the face anytime your skin—or mood—needs a reset. Midday meltdown? Mint roller. Skin looking dull? Mint roller. Didn’t sleep? You know what to do.

sana detox facial cupping

Inspired by traditional cupping therapy, our facial cupping tools use gentle suction to create space in the skin, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and bring life back to sluggish areas. The suction may be soft, but the effect is powerful: improved circulation, brighter tone, more definition.

In studio, we use it to target areas that are holding on to puffiness or congestion—like under the chin, around the cheeks, or along the jawline. It’s one of the most effective ways to wake the skin up and get everything flowing again. At home, it’s a game-changer when your face feels dull, stagnant, or heavy.

Ps. Don’t worry—it won’t leave marks like body cupping. Just glow.

why tools matter

All these tools we’ve just walked through?

They’re designed to work with your skin, not strip it, stress it, or throw it off balance. They’re here to amplify what your products are already doing, helping them absorb better, increasing circulation, and encouraging your skin to function the way it’s meant to. Think of them as your routine’s secret weapon, quietly doing the behind-the-scenes work that shows up in the mirror.

And here’s the thing: There’s something powerful about taking five intentional minutes for yourself. It’s not just about sculpting a jawline or chasing a glow. It’s about slowing down enough to feel your skin under your hands, to breathe, to let the tension drain from your face (and maybe your day). Whether you’re moving lymph or just moving through life, these small rituals build on themselves.

no gatekeeping

These aren’t trendy gadgets collecting dust in the back of a drawer. They’re in every single one of our treatment rooms, used by every one of our Skin Healers. And yes, you can use them too. The difference is in the technique—and that comes with practice. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to begin!
